MOSCOW, April 13 (RIA Novosti) - Electricity monopoly Unified Energy System (RTS ticker EESR) said Thursday its net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards had dropped 13% year on year in 2005 to 20.9 billion rubles (about $730 million).
UES said its net unconsolidated profit had risen almost 54% quarter on quarter in Q4 2005 to 7.82 billion rubles (about $273 million).
The company also said subscriber revenues had grown by more than 1.27 billion rubles (about $44 million) in the fourth quarter due to increased electricity consumption during the winter season.
