MOSCOW, April 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Central Bank announced Thursday that the country's broad money supply stood at 2.721 trillion rubles ($98.2 billion at the current exchange rate) as of April 1, up 2.25% month on month.
However, money supply fell by 6.6% (from 2.914 trillion rubles, or $105.2 billion) from January 1, 2006.
According to the bank, broad money supply consists of cash in circulation, correspondent accounts of credit organizations in the Central Bank, required reserves, bank deposits in the CBR and CBR bonds of credit organizations, etc.
