"The internal political situation in the Kingdom of Nepal has recently deteriorated," the ministry said. "Mass demonstrations against the government accompanied by acts of violence have spread over the country."
The ministry expressed concern over the increased tensions in the country, and advised Russians who had to travel to Nepal to report at the Russian Embassy in the capital, Kathmandu, upon the arrival and prior to departure.
The ministry also expressed its hope that stability and security in the country would be re-established soon on the basis of political dialogue and non-violence.
Clashes between anti-royal demonstrators and security forces over demands to end the king's direct rule left four people dead this week.
