MOSCOW, April 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russia Monday urged the Palestinian authorities to make every effort to stop attacks on Israel, a foreign ministry spokesman said after a terrorist act in Tel Aviv killed at least eight.
Mikhail Kamynin said Russia also called on the Israeli government to display restraint and composure.
A Palestinian suicide bomber left at least eight people dead and wounded about 60 people near a central bus station in Tel Aviv Monday. Two people are in a critical condition in the hospital.
Kamynin said Russia resolutely condemned terrorist attacks on innocent people.
"Joint efforts will erect a reliable barrier against all terrorist attacks ... and will help resume talks based on the roadmap [plan for a Middle East settlement]," he said.
