BISHKEK, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - A nuclear power plant being constructed in Iran with Russian help poses no threat to the international non-proliferation regime, Russia's top nuclear industry official said Thursday.
"The construction of a nuclear power plant in Bushehr is being carried out in compliance with all international agreements," Federal Atomic Energy Agency head Sergei Kiriyenko told a news conference.
Kiriyenko is currently visiting the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan for discussions with top politicians and officials that are likely to focus on extending nuclear collaboration between the two countries.
