BISHKEK, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian airport operator Vnukovo is considering building a $100 million air terminal in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Felix Kulov said Thursday.
The facility will be built near Lake Issyk-Kul, a popular tourist destination in the Central Asian republic's northeast.
"We are looking into allotting land not only for the construction of an airport, but also of a tourist infrastructure around it," the Kyrgyz premier said.
Kulov and Federal Atomic Energy Agency head Sergei Kiriyenko, who both co-chair the Russia-Kyrgyzstan commission for economic cooperation, on Thursday discussed Russian investment in a $300m exhibition and tourist center near Issyk-Kul.
