Russia will represent a wide range of arms and ammunition of special task forces at DSA-2006, an international Asian exhibition of weapons and military hardware, Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport said Thursday.

MOSCOW, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russia will represent a wide range of arms and ammunition of special task forces at DSA-2006, an international Asian exhibition of weapons and military hardware, Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport said Thursday.

The exhibition, due to be held in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on April 24-27, will feature modernized Kalashnikov automatic rifles of calibers 5.56 and 7.62, light anti-tank grenade launchers, submachine guns, sniper rifles, underwater guns, special cartridges, optical sights and grenades.

"The company considers Russia's participation in DSA-2006 as a significant stage in further promotion of Russian arms on rapidly developing South-East Asian markets," a Rosoboronexport spokesman said.

Russian delegation leaders expect talks on the sidelines of the exhibition, which organizers say will represent over 600 firms from more than 45 countries, to lay the groundwork for contracts on supplies of arms and military hardware to the region and their integration into national and collective security systems.
