Below follow the main events in the Russian sports world in the last 24 hours at 3.p.m. GMT April 21

* At the 2005/2006 men's under-18 world ice hockey championships in Sweden (through April 22):

- Russia will face Sweden in the match for fifth place after it had failed to advance to the semifinals losing 1:4 to Canada in the quarterfinals.

Finland and the U.S. will play in the finals, and Canada will face Czech Republic in the bronze medal tie

* World No.9 Yelena Dementyeva, will play No.2 Kim Clijsters in the opening rubber of a five-rubber Russian-Belgium quarterfinal tie of the ITF Federation Cup, which runs April 22-23 in Belgium's Liege. No.5 Nadezhda Petrova will face No.4 Justine Henin-Hardenne in the second rubber later on Saturday.

On Sunday, Petrova and Dementyeva will play Clijsters and Henin-Hardenne, respectively, in the singles. Dinara Safina and Maria Kirilenko will play against Kirsten Flipkens and Caroline Maes in the doubles
