LONDON, APRIL 25 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom will retain its monopoly on exports of Russian gas for years to come, the Russian energy giant's deputy chairman said Tuesday.
"I believe Gazprom's export monopoly will remain [in place] for several decades," Alexander Medvedev, also general director of Gazprom's export arm, Gazexport, said on the sidelines of the Russian Economic Forum in London.
Medvedev said Gazprom, which supplies a quarter of Europe's gas, meets all its obligations under contracts on gas supplies.
"We have enough assets to meet the demand of Europe, North America and the Far East," he said.
