MOSCOW, May 6 (RIA Novosti) - Surgutneftegaz (RTS: SNGS) said Saturday its oil output in the first four months of 2006 stood at 21.383 million tons (156.74 mln bbl), a 4% increase year on year.
The Siberian oil company also produced about 5.021 bln cu m of natural gas in the same period, and developed 286 new wells. Natural gas processing at its downstream facilities totaled 1.412 bln cu m in the same period, the company said.
Surgutneftegaz also said Saturday it planned to increase year-on-year investment by 13.7% in 2006 and 40% in 2007, to $2.32 billion and $3.24 billion, respectively, from $2.04 billion in 2005.
Surgutneftegaz General Director Vladimir Bogdanov said in March that the company posted a $1.5-bln net profit increase last year.
