TBILISI, May 9 (RIA Novosti, Marina Kvaratskhelia) - Russia and Georgia are destined to have good-neighborly relations, the Georgian President said Tuesday.
"We can find a common language with all nations, especially with the Russian nation," Mikheil Saakashvili said at a meeting with WWII veterans. "We fought together against fascism, and, besides, we are linked by human relations. Georgia and Russia are neighbors... and we are destined to have good-neighborly relations."
Saakashvili and Georgian parliament speaker Nino Burdzhanadze laid wreaths to the Unknown Soldier memorial on Tuesday in commemoration of Victory Day.
