MOSCOW, May 10 (RIA Novosti) - The number of registered cell phone users in Russia hit 134.7 million in April 2006, up 50% on April 2005 and 2.3 million more than in March 2006, a report said Wednesday.
ACM-Consulting said cell phone coverage in Russia now stood at 92.8%, against 91.2% in March and 61.7% in April 2005.
The data do not reflect the number of actual users, though - ACM-Consulting said that for every 100 residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, 141.6 and 122.8 SIM cards, respectively, had been registered.
