MOSCOW, May 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office said Friday it was drafting documents to seek the extradition from Italy of a former director of the embattled oil company Yukos.
Former director for strategic planning and corporate finance, Alexei Golubovich was detained in Pisa earlier in the week.
"Investigators say that the state sustained losses of $283 million as a result of Golubovich's criminal activities as a member of an organized group," prosecutors said.
In late 2004, Golubovich was put on the federal and international wanted list.
Prosecutors said Golubovich was charged with fraud committed by an organized group and failure to comply with a court ruling.
