SOSNOVY BOR (Leningrad region), May 17 (RIA Novosti) - Corporatization of state-owned nuclear power generating monopoly Rosenergoatom is to be completed in 2007, the head of the nuclear agency head said Wednesday.
"After its reorganization as a joint-stock company, Rosenergoatom will be 100%-owned by the state," Sergei Kiriyenko said, adding that "there are no plans to attract private capital into the nuclear energy sector."
He said a joint-stock company had "more opportunities to attract investment and other funds" compared with a federal state unitary enterprise.
He also said the Federal Agency for Nuclear Power was planning to present a program on the development of Russia's nuclear industry to the government on May 20.
