MOSCOW, May 20 (RIA Novosti) - Tension between rival football fans Saturday afternoon exploded into violence that saw several people injured after the final of the Russian Cup.
Police said groups of fans of CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow were fighting in a street in the center of the city, and that at least 10 people had been injured. Riot police have been sent to the scene along with ambulances, a police source said.
CSKA retained the Russian Cup earlier Saturday with a 3-0 victory over its bitter Moscow rival Spartak, on goals by Brazilians Jo (2) and Wagner Love.
