MOSCOW, May 31 (RIA Novosti) - Evraz Group, a leading mining and metallurgical company in Russia, said Wednesday its major shareholders were in talks with U.K.-based Millhouse Capital, which manages assets of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
Evraz said in a statement its shareholders had notified the board of directors about the talks on the possible sale of a "significant stake" in Evraz to the Millhouse investment vehicle.
"No commitments on a timeframe for the deal have been made yet," the statement said.
Media reports said earlier that Millhouse was negotiating the acquisition of a 40% stake in Evraz with Alexander Abramov, former chairman of the board and major owner of EvrazGroup, and Alexander Frolov, its current chairman.
