MOSCOW, June 6 (RIA Novosti) -- Russia's finance minister said Tuesday that he saw no reason for a change of government.
Media reported last week that government members could be dismissed after Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov proposed setting up a separate trade ministry, which is currently part of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry headed by German Gref.
But Alexei Kudrin downplayed the suggestions. "I think this is unrealistic," he said "I see no conditions for such a move."
Kudrin, who is known as one of the government's economic liberals alongside Gref, also said he had heard the media rumors but added they had no relation to reality.
