MOSCOW, June 8 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova advanced to the final of the French Open tennis tournament Thursday by defeating Nicole Vaidisova of the Czech Republic 5:7, 7:6 (7:5), 6:2.
Kuznetsova, seeded eight for the tournament, will next face the winner of the all-Belgian semifinal between Justine Henin Hardenne and Kim Clijsters.
The Roland Garros tournament in Paris has $18.2 million in prize money up for grabs.
