ST. PETERSBURG, June 10 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian finance minister said Saturday Iran should be integrated into the international system of combating money laundering and terrorism financing.
Speaking at the G8 finance ministers meeting in St. Petersburg, Alexei Kudrin said the ministers had discussed, among other things, regional mechanisms for fighting money laundering and terrorism financing, in particular the Eurasian Group, comprising many Asian countries including China.
He said the system should be extended to include Iran and some other states.
"These countries should be integrated into the system," he said.
