TASHKENT, June 12 (RIA Novosti) - Uzbekneftegaz, an Uzbek national holding, and Chinese oil and gas corporation CNODC have signed an agreement on joint prospecting and exploration of oil and gas deposits in the Central Asian republic, a holding's official said Monday.
Shavkat Madzhitov, first deputy head of Uzbekneftegaz, said the Chinese company would conduct prospecting of five oil and gas fields, drilling 15 prospecting and 12 evaluation wells in various regions of Uzbekistan.
The total volume of investment in the projects is estimated at $208.5 million during five years.
