KEMEROVO, June 18 (RIA Novosti) - An accident at the electric power plant in Kemerovo in southwest Siberia has left the city without electricity, the regional administration said Sunday.
According to the administration, a high-voltage switch failure disrupted energy supply in the central part of the city for 40 minutes.
Kemerovo region governor Aman Tuleyev has placed the work to eliminate the consequences of the accident under his control.
Tuleyev has also given instructions to set up a special commission to investigate the causes of the accident, the local administration said.
