NALCHIK, June 19 (RIA Novosti) - The president of Kabardino-Balkaria Monday proposed a new candidate for the post of prime minister of the North Caucasus republic following Monday's dismissal of the government.
Earlier Monday, Arsen Kanokov dismissed the government according to the republic's constitution, after the resignation of Prime Minister Gennady Gubin.
The president's nominee, Andrei Yarin, 36, previously headed the interior policy department in the staff of the Russian presidential envoy to the Southern Federal District.
Yarin previously worked as deputy governor of Vladimir Region in Central Russia, before serving as Chechnya's first deputy prime minister in 2002-2003, and deputy governor of the central Russian region of Ryazan in 2004-2005.
