"At tomorrow's meeting in Tskhinvali, the JCC co-chairmen plans to discuss the results of the June 14 Brussels conference of donors on economic rehabilitation of the conflict zone, outline the date for the commission's next session, as well as discuss the situation in the conflict zone," Georgia's conflict resolution state minister Giorgi Khaindrava said.
A meeting between the interior ministers of Georgia and the breakaway region is also scheduled for Thursday, said the commission co-chairman from Russia, ambassador-at-large Yury Popov.
South Ossetia with another breakaway region, Abkhazia, declared independence from Georgia in 1992 after bloody conflicts following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russian troops are stationed in the conflict zone as part of Joint Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
