MOSCOW, June 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Foreign Ministry said Thursday it hoped that Ukraine would lift a ban on certain Russian nationals entering the country.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky and Konstantin Zatulin, senior members of the lower house of Russia's parliament, were prohibited from entering Ukraine in early June and Zhirinovsky linked the ban with his criticism of Ukraine's plans to join NATO.
Alexei Dobychin, leader of the Russian movement Proryv (Breakthrough) was deported from Ukraine June 21.
Foreign Ministry's spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said "normal good-neighborly relations should rule out this practice" given that Ukraine had chosen democracy as a priority of its foreign and domestic policy.
