KIEV, June 30 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko said Friday he would submit Yulia Tymoshenko's candidacy for premiership to the country's parliament Tuesday.
Tymoshenko, an ex-prime minister and prominent figure in the 2004 "orange revolution," will assume the post under an agreement on forming a parliamentary coalition between her bloc, pro-presidential grouping Our Ukraine and the Socialist Party.
Yushchenko said he hoped "the parliament would resume constructive work next week," adding that a dialogue between the coalition and opposition should be established as soon as possible.
