GROZNY, July 8 (RIA Novosti) - A remote-controlled roadside bomb exploded in eastern Chechnya destroying a police car and injuring a police officer and three security services operatives, a local police source said Saturday.
"The explosion occurred on the side of a road in the Kurchaloyev district at 7.10 a.m. Moscow time (3.10 a.m. GMT)," the source said.
He said three operatives from the Federal Security Service (FSB) were wounded and hospitalized, and a police officer received first-aid ambulatory treatment.
On Friday, four civilians were killed and two wounded when a militant group opened automatic fire at a car in the neighboring Shelkovsky district of Chechnya.
