MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti) - Natural gas production in Russia in January-June grew 2.3% year on year to 333 billion cubic meters, the Federal Service for State Statistics said Tuesday.
In June gas production was down 10.2% on May but up 3.3% year on year.
A total of 236 million tons of oil was produced in Russia in the first half of 2006, which is a 2.3% growth on 2005.
Coal production grew 5.6% year on year to 152 million tons, whereas iron ore production rose 4.5% to 49.9 million tons.
Electric power generation in January-June was 502 billion kWh, or a 4.6% growth year on year.
