MOSCOW, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - Israel disagrees with Russia's refusal to consider Palestinian group Hamas and Lebanon's Hizbollah terrorist organizations but recognizes its right to this position, the Israeli ambassador in Russia said Thursday.
However, Arkady Mil-Man said this position was incorrect and would not help resolve the Middle East conflict.
"Russia has a different opinion and this is legitimate," he said.
Russia invited a Hamas delegation to Moscow in spring after it won elections in the Palestinian Authority.
Officials in Israel and Lebanon said that at least 300 Lebanese and 29 Israelis had seen killed since the air strikes and missile attacks started eight days ago after the abduction of two Israeli soldiers.
