MOSCOW, July 25 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's rescuers dismissed reports Tuesday that they had refused to evacuate Georgian citizens from the Israeli-Lebanese conflict zone.
"I am not inclined to believe that the head of the Emergency Situations Ministry group checked passports [during the evacuation effort]," Vladimir Boreiko, deputy head of the ministry's international department, said in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio station.
"We, for example, evacuated Ukrainian citizens," he said. "We did not practice any selective approach."
