MOSCOW, July 27 (RIA Novosti) - An organization has pledged to give Yukos a life-line by repaying its debts and becoming the embattled oil company's owner, the Yukos board chairman said Thursday.
A meeting of creditors of Yukos voted on Tuesday to recognize the company bankrupt and start liquidation procedures.
"I was told that an organization is ready to repay Yukos's debts and become the company's owner," Viktor Gerashchenko told the Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) radio, but did not provide any specifics.
He also said certain conditions had to be created and Yukos owners should agree to accept this proposal.
