The incident occurred Friday on a city highway.
"Six unidentified persons approached a Mercedes truck with 20 tons of meat [that was parked on the roadside] and after threatening the driver with physical harm, took the vehicle," a police spokesman said.
The driver said he had lost 600,000 rubles (about $22,000).
A similar incident occurred in October 2005 when two unknown men drove up to a KamAZ truck, with 31 tons of meat on board, which was parked on the roadside for minor repairs, forced the driver into their car, and took him in an unknown direction.
The assailants pulled a wool hat over his face and drove him around the city for nine hours.
When the victim eventually returned to the place where his truck had been parked, it was gone.
