VLADIKAVKAZ, August 14 (RIA Novosti) - Inflation in the first week of August stood at 0.1%, Russia's economics minister said Monday.
The Ministry for Economic Development and Trade has submitted a socioeconomic plan for until 2009 where inflation in 2006 is set at 9%.
"In the first week of August, inflation was 0.1%," German Gref said.
Andrei Klepach, head of the macroeconomic planning department in the ministry, forecasted deflation in August-September or slight growth in consumer prices.
The ministry said July inflation was 0.7% and consumer prices had risen 6.9% since the start of the year.
