SOCHI, August 16 (RIA Novosti) - Leaders of the five-member Eurasian Economic Community (Eurasec) signed several documents after a two-day informal summit in southern Russia, the Russian president's press-secretary said Wednesday.
The presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan joined Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi Tuesday, along with Armenia's President Robert Kocharyan and Ukraine's Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych as observers.
Alexei Gromov said the signed documents focused on the effective use of hydro-power resources in the Central-Asian Region, on the formation of the customs union and a common energy market within the organization.
