MOSCOW, August 23 (RIA Novosti) - Rosbank, a leading Russian commercial bank, said Wednesday its net profit declined 37%, year-on-year, in the first half of 2006, to 660.15 million rubles (about $24.5 million).
The bank, which is owned by financial holding Interros, said its pre-tax profit declined 21.7% in the reporting period, to 908.88 million rubles (about $33.7 million).
Rosbank, which is on a list of the country's top thirty banks published by the Central Bank, also said its shareholder equity rose 13.5%, year-on-year, in the second quarter of 2006 to 22.82 billion rubles (about $845 million), while the value of its assets fell 0.33% to 209.22 billion rubles (about $7.7 billion).
