MOSCOW, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - Seventh Continent [RTS: SCON] said Thursday its net profit calculated to International Financial Reporting Standards rose 46%, year-on-year, in the first half of 2006 to $31.8 million.
Seventh Continent, one of Russia's largest retail trade networks, said its sales totaled $450.6 million in the reporting period, an increase of 37% on the same period of 2005. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) grew 68% to $53.8 million and gross profit was up 32.7% to $140.7 million.
The Seventh Continent retail network unites 120 stores and several hypermarkets, mainly in Moscow.
