VLADIVOSTOK, August 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's defense minister denied Saturday that he had received any instructions to prepare a new national military doctrine.
Sergei Ivanov, who is also a deputy prime minister, commented on media reports that Russia was drafting a new military doctrine.
"I don't know anything about this. They can write anything," he said. "I have received no orders to prepare a new military doctrine. I don't know anything about this."
Ivanov is in Vladivostok on a working trip to the Far East Federal District.
