Gazprombank net profit rises 44% y-o-y in 7M06

MOSCOW, August 28 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprombank, a subsidiary of Russian energy giant Gazprom [RTS: GAZP], said Monday its net profit rose 44% year-on-year in the first seven months of 2006 to 10.4 billion rubles (about $385 million).

Gazprombank, Russia's third largest bank in terms of assets, said its pre-tax profit had grown 62% in the reporting period to 15.2 billion rubles (about $563 million).

Gazprombank said its assets had grown 42% in the reporting period to 618 billion rubles ($22.8 billion) and its shareholder equity had risen 28% to 56.1 billion rubles (about $2.07 billion).

Loans to customers grew 33% to 381.4 billion rubles ($14.1 billion). The value of corporate deposits went up 32% to 269.2 billion rubles ($9.9 billion), and the value of individuals' deposit accounts grew 14% to 50.1 billion rubles ($1.8 billion).
