MOSCOW, September 19 (RIA Novosti) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines [RTS: AFLT] said Tuesday its board had approved a plan to lease a dozen Airbus passenger jets and six American-made freighters in 2007-2008.
Russia's national carrier will take on 12 A320-200 Airbus medium-range passenger jets and six MD-11s, a spokeswoman said.
Aeroflot is also looking to upgrade its long-haul passenger fleet, but has so far been unable to decide between the Boeing-787 and the Airbus A-350.
