MOSCOW, September 20 (RIA Novosti)--Mosenergo [RTS:MSNG] said Wednesday an additional share issue, worth up to $2.1 billion, would go to Gazprombank, a subsidiary of energy giant Gazprom [GAZP].
A spokesman for the parent company of the Russian capital's electricity producer, Russia's electricity monopoly Unified Energy System (UES) [RTS: EESR], said the shares would be issued in February-March 2007.
Mosenergo became the largest of Russia's 14 territorial generating companies in 2005, during the restructuring of the country's power sector.
Mosenergo plants currently produce 5% of the country's thermal power and 8% of its electric power. The company's power system is a complex of 17 thermal power plants. Installed electrical capacity totals 10,600 MW, while installed heat capacity is 34,200 Gcal/h (39,800 MW).
