GROZNY, September 24 (RIA Novosti) - Four militants were detained in Chechnya and an arms cache discovered, a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies said Sunday.
"Yesterday law enforcement officers detained three members of illegal armed units who drove in a Zhiguli car in the Achkhoi Martan district," the source said. "They showed policemen the location of a cache in the Grozny District."
The source also said policemen had detained another militant in the Grozny District.
"During an operation to detain him, the bandit threw a homemade grenade in policemen's direction," the source said. "No one was hurt, the militant was wounded by return fire and detained."
An investigation is underway.
