"Early on Saturday morning, a local resident walking in Kuzminki Park discovered an overturned push chair with an 18-month-old girl inside who was crying," the source said, adding that the baby was only dressed in a diaper and children's tights with sandals.
Investigators established that the baby's parents had quarreled and set off in separate directions, each thinking that the other person had taken their child, Liza, with them.
"The 30-year-old lady appeared at home only at 5 a.m. but was unable to get into the apartment because she had forgotten where the keys were," the source said. "All this time she thought the father had taken Liza, but the baby's father thought the child was with her mother."
The girl was taken to the sixth children's hospital. Doctors said her survival was a miracle given the weather. The temperature during the night was between 8-10 degrees Celsius (about 50 degrees Fahrenheit).
