MOSCOW, October 2 (RIA Novosti) - A retail complex in the north of Moscow will soon have its power supply restored, a spokesman for Russia's United Energy System (UES) said Monday.
Power at the Mega complex, located in the Khimki district just outside of Moscow, was cut completely Monday evening with thousands of shoppers having to leave in complete darkness.
"We have been in touch with the management of the Mega retail complex," Margarita Nagoga said. "According to preliminary findings, power at the center was cut off following an accident during a maintenance operation at a [neighboring] IKEA outlet. We will help eliminate the effects of the accident to the best of our ability and hope that power supplies to the complex will be restored soon."
