PETROZAVODSK, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - A fire broke out in a building owned by Caucasus natives in the northern Russian city of Kondopoga, the Emergency Situations Ministry said Friday.
The fire broke out on the premises of a timber enterprise in a village not far from Kondopoga, a town that last month was the scene of violent confrontations between locals and Caucasus natives.
After two local residents were killed August 31 in a clash at a Chechen-owned restaurant, a mob of local residents rioted, burning the building down and demanding the deportation of all Caucasus migrants.
