MOSCOW, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - Kalina [RTS: KLNA] said Friday its net profit, calculated to the International Accounting Standards in the first half of 2006, grew 2% on the same period last year, to $15.16 million.
The earnings of one of Russia's leading cosmetics producers for the period grew by 36.3%, to $180.2 million, while gross profit went up 25.6%, to $79 million.
Kalina, headquartered in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg, has a factory in Siberia and subsidiaries in Ukraine, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, as well as in Russia. It holds a controlling stake in German cosmetics producer Dr. Scheller Cosmetics AG.
