MOSCOW, October 7 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's prime minister called Saturday for measures to optimize management of the country's agro-industrial complex and develop agricultural machine-manufacturing.
Agriculture receives considerable state support, which was increased further with the launch of a priority national project to develop the agro-industrial sector.
"Joint efforts are needed to develop agricultural science, optimize the management system and develop agricultural machine-building, ensuring the quality of produce that can be competitive, ecologically clean and attractive to foreign and domestic consumers," Mikhail Fradkov said at the inauguration a Russian agro-industrial exhibition in Moscow.
