MOSCOW, October 8 (RIA Novosti) - A Turkish citizen carrying a self-made bomb was arrested Saturday in the Moscow Region, a police source said Sunday.
The police said operatives stopped a car belonging to a Turkish businessman at a check point near restricted-access town of Krasnoznamensk outside the Russian capital.
"Police officers have found in his Volkswagen car a self-made explosive device containing two 400-gram TNT blocks connected to a car alarm unit and batteries," the source said.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Krasnoznamensk is home to Russia's Space Forces command center that operates a network of space satellites and coordinates the activities of 11 regional space command posts.
