MOSCOW, October 10 (RIA Novosti) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines [RTS: AFLT] said Tuesday its net profit according to International Financial Reporting Standards grew 78.7% year-on-year to $135.8 million in the first six months of 2006.
Russia's largest air carrier said its revenue in January-June gained 15.7% to $1.3 billion, while operating profit climbed 50.5% to $162.9 mln.
Aeroflot, founded in 1923, accounts for 39% of Russia's international air traffic, and 11% of domestic flights.
