ST. PETERSBURG, October 10 (RIA Novosti) - At least three people were killed in an apartment building collapse Monday in the northwest Russian city of Vyborg, near St. Petersburg, the emergencies ministry said Tuesday.
One person was discovered in the ruins Monday, and two more were pulled from the debris Tuesday. The structure, built before World War II, collapsed at about 4 a.m. Moscow time (midnight GMT).
"The bodies of a woman and a man were extracted from beneath the rubble at about 12.00 Moscow time [8.00 GMT]," a spokesman for the ministry said.
On Monday, rescuers found the body of a 3-month-old child.
The spokesman said rescue work is continuing, as more people are feared trapped.
Earlier Tuesday, a ministry official said 362 people were involved in the rescue and recovery operation.
