Over 500 Russians have been flown out of Georgia since the beginning of October, after four Russian officers were detained and charged in Tbilisi with spying. Although the officers were soon released and returned to their homeland, Russia nevertheless suspended transport and mail links with Georgia.
The crisis was referred to the United Nations Security Council.
Valery Vasilyev, a consul with the Russian Embassy in Georgia, said that it was the last plane to leave Georgia with Russian citizens on board.
He added that Russia also deported over 250 Georgian citizens for violating immigration procedures.
Georgian migrant workers have traditionally sent large amounts of money home to their relatives, in what is still a comparatively poor country. Russia's small and economically dependent neighbor is widely expected to be hard-hit by the latest measures.
