MOSCOW, October 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's National Bank Trust said Friday its net profit according to Russian Accounting Standards in the third quarter of 2006 increased by 540% compared to the second quarter, to 170.2 million rubles ($6.3 million).
The bank said the jump was due to "increased interest income on loans granted to [non-credit] organizations," as well as "increased revenue on securities."
Trust Bank is on the list of Russia's thirty largest banks in terms of assets. Its equity capital on April 1 was 3.27 billion rubles ($121.3 million).
